Synthetic Reefer Madness!
Synthetic Reefer Madness!

The reefer is synthetic but the madness is real.
The truth is stranger than fiction. There is a plant that grows naturally on this planet that can be used to power automobiles; this plant could totally replace wood as a source for pulp in paper production, halting deforestation; more importantly, it can save lives medicinally. It is estimated that this plant could replace more than 50% of Valium, Librium, Thorazine, Stelazine, other “-zine” drugs and most sleeping pills. It can safely curtail or replace Valium, Librium, alcohol, or even Prozac. This plant’s fibers can be used to produce rope, canvas and cloth and could effectively replace cotton. According to a study conducted nearly 30 years ago, this plant could immediately replace 10-20% of all prescription medicines and when fully researched up to 40 or 50%. I’m talking about cannabis. It is illegal to grow this plant in this free country but now there are reports like this popping up all over:
Legislator, law enforcement officials call for end to K2 (with video)
House Bill 2411 would make possession, use, sale and possession with intent to sell K2 and other products containing synthetic cannabinoids illegal in Kansas.
StateNews.com – K2 provides legal high similar to pot
Whether it’s the mountain on the China/Pakistan border or a simple concoction of aromatic plant matter, make no mistake — K2 will get you high.
K2 is marketed and sold as four different types of incense — Summit, Citron, Blonde and Standard — and three grams can cost anywhere from $20 to $40.
The difference between K2 and other incense is that when smoked, it produces effects similar to those of marijuana.
Product review: Will K2 synthetic marijuana get you high?
One of our testers already noted the clear conscience you can have knowing this stuff wasn’t connected to the criminal drug trade, but there’s also peace of mind in knowing you can smoke this stuff walking around downtown without attracting attention. It smells closer to a clove cigarette than anything resembling marijuana. And if you make it right, it looks like you’re rolling your own cigarettes. Which I suppose you essentially are since K2 is still legal.
Legal pot substitute gains popularity in Kansas
“It gets you really high and it’s totally legal,” said Kyle Taylor as he took a long drag of a K2 cigarette.
Taylor, a sophomore in psychology, is one of thousands of Kansans who have discovered K2, a new drug that is rapidly gaining popularity across the state.
K2 is a legal marijuana substitute that has become popular in Lawrence and Kansas City over the last few months, and a number of K-State students have begun using the drug as well.
K2 Incense: A Legal Way to Get High?
K2 looks like marijuana and when smoked acts like marijuana, but it’s legal.
“I think it’s fair to say it’s a legal form of marijuana,” Rob Bussinger a K2 proponent said.
It’s caught the eye of local law enforcement who say usage is on the rise in Northeast Kansas.
“At this point we’re at an awareness level,” Sgt. Jay Simecka with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office said. “K2 is a legal substance so they can not be taken into custody for simple possession.”
Authorities warily watch synthetic drug which has a legal high
It looks a lot like marijuana and works like it too only it’s legal.
The synthetic substance has just started showing up in Lawrence and the Kansas City area.
“It’s supposed to be more potent than most versions of marijuana,” said Johnson County, Kansas, Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Farkes.
When it comes to K2 it was actually created in a chemistry lab at Clemson University.
Since it’s synthetic it’s not covered by law although police, who have come into contact with it, think it should be.
It’s bad enough that someone has to MAKE a synthetic alternative to such an important natural plant already made illegal in this country (for absurd reasons). But has anyone stopped to think that K2, like cannabis itself, can stimulate an appetite in cancer and AIDS patients? What cannabis does for these people is not up for debate any longer and if you have cancer and are lucky enough to live in a state where you can purchase cannabis without men with guns kicking down your door, good for you. But the last I heard, they don’t have marijuana dispensaries in every state in the US.
The politicians trying to outlaw K2 are political robots trying to get reelected without considering what is right or wrong. These politicians do not care about the potential of K2 whatsoever because a few men and women in blue are sending in reports about dumb kids who are doing dumb things with it. And in America, because dumb parents raise dumb kids who do dumb things; idiots like Robert Olson and other knee-jerk politicians like him will try to make K2 illegal so they can find job security by “thinking of the children” and making this world a safe place to live.
Beware of this political propaganda and make some noise about this!
A politician can look like a hero to the voters only as long as everyone remains ignorant on the issues. Anyone living in the real world knows that kids smoke cigarettes too. Why are they trying to criminalize one smokeable substance and not the others? Oh BTW, kids drink booze too…better make that illegal too. Perhaps they are only fighting the battles they think they can win because winning a battle like this can make them look like heroes (to those who remain ignorant).
A reasonable lawmaker would suggest we regulate K2 to anyone over the age of 18…but that might not get that lawmaker elected next time around. Decisions, decisions…do the right thing or be a typical hypocrite politician…
It feels like Refer Madness all over again. Even though it says that it is incense and not for consumption on the bag in which it’s sold; smoking K2 gives you the giggles, the munchies, and makes you tired…all within about 30 minutes before those side effects completely subside, often leaving the user ready for a nap. But without creating laws restricting K2, or the selling of bongs in head shops, or the use of the word “bong” or “head shop” when selling these things in these places; these lawmakers are exposed as the useless waste of money that they are. I stepped on a rock last summer and cut my toe. Perhaps all rocks that are not padded with some sort of safety foam should be illegal to walk on without shoes! Pad everything with safety foam and outlaw anything that could be potentially harmful (even if it is also potentially useful). In the world these lawmakers are creating, no one will be allowed to walk on sharp rocks without shoes. They will fine or jail people who insist on running the risk of a cut toe by walking around barefoot…especially the children; kids love to run around without shoes on!!

I actually would like to purchase some K2. I am in Washington state and have not been able to find anybody who sells it. How do I buy it online?
Hemp was used in World War 2 to make rope. You can still find fields of marijuana all over the country from this era.
The US government has studded the effects of marijuana for the last 47 years and the magic garden has been putting out high-grade marijuana since the 70’s.
no one has ever found any devastating effects from using marijuana yet the US government will not make it legal?
All of the lobbyists from the Drug Company and all the rest companies that stand to louse big money if this plant is allowed to be used to it’s full potential are the ones putting a stop to making marijuana legal.
The people we put in office to lookout for our best interest are getting rich and doing all of us a disservice by keeping marijuana listed as an illegal drug.
Don’t you think it’s time to send a message to these people.
We need to let them know we are sick of lobbyists running this country if we wanted them running things we’d have elected them instead of politicians in the first place
